Robotics Systems Engineer I, Amazon Robotics Deployment Engineering

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer I to join their Deployment Engineering team. This role combines hands-on technical work with project management and leadership responsibilities in deploying robotic systems across Amazon's fulfillment centers.

The position involves overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment in both new and existing fulfillment centers. You'll work with mechanical systems, electrical systems, network configuration, and coordinate software systems deployment. While specific system training is provided, candidates should have a strong foundation in robotics and networked mechanical systems.

As a Systems Engineer, you'll lead a team of 1-5 engineers and collaborate with project managers to provide technical oversight on both Amazon-designed and third-party robotics equipment installations. The role requires extensive stakeholder collaboration, including work with installers, contracted engineers, construction teams, hardware/software teams, IT, and other partners.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading technical deployments and troubleshooting complex robotic systems
• Developing and improving process documentation
• Managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Working primarily in construction or warehouse environments
• Extensive travel (75%) across US locations with potential international opportunities

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $74,100 to $188,100 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), and parental leave options.
