As an RTL Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of hardware innovation, working within an advanced architecture team exploring new hardware designs to enhance Amazon's device portfolio. Your responsibilities will span from micro-architecture definition to RTL implementation, requiring expertise in modern hardware description languages and complex IP block development.

Responsibilities For RTL Design Engineer, Hardware Compute Group

  • Define micro-architecture and implement RTL for advanced functional blocks
  • Participate in design verification and bring-up of blocks
  • Write assertions, debug code, test benches, and test harnesses
  • Participate in lab bring-up of blocks in FPGA or silicon
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to architect and implement complex functional blocks
  • Develop detailed design specifications and documentation
  • Perform RTL coding and synthesis
  • Work with Partners/Suppliers to optimize products
  • Run industry standard code quality tools and fix issues

Requirements For RTL Design Engineer, Hardware Compute Group

  • PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Architecture or related field
  • Project work with RTL development
  • Understanding of the tape-out process for production silicon
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
