Amazon Customer Service (CS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE2) to join their Contact Handling Experience (CHEX) team. This role is crucial in developing products that support Amazon's Customer Service Associates (CSAs) in delivering exceptional customer service. The team focuses on building effortless solutions to handle and resolve customer contacts while providing insights to enhance customer interactions.

As an SDE2, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies including GraphQL, Java, Spring, and AWS to create innovative customer experience solutions. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to improve technology, design and develop new customer-facing products, and implement metrics to ensure high-quality results. The role involves building comprehensive customer engagement services that help anticipate and resolve customer questions using Amazon's CRM system.

  • Create simple solutions for complex business and operational problems
  • Design and implement scalable solutions
  • Build robust solutions that operate at Amazon scale
  • Design systems and make mission critical decisions on technology choices
  • Work with senior technical leaders to review and improve designs and solutions

Requirements For SDE 2, Level 5, CHEX

Java
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of systems
