Description For SDEII, Datacenter Networks

We are building a new type of datacenter network fabrics expected to power all new AWS datacenters globally and set the industry standard for the next decade. Our team is developing software systems to dynamically generate network topologies on-demand, implement novel routing algorithms, and monitor datacenter fabric health.

As an SDEII in the Datacenter Networks team, you will:

  • Build software systems enabling internal customers to visualize network paths
  • Automate network remediation and deployment
  • Improve customer performance
  • Own design and development of key components for Amazon's next-generation datacenter fabric
  • Create tools for network visibility and automation systems for DC network wiring
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering/DC Operations teams
  • Work with teams handling provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring and scaling

Requirements For SDEII, Datacenter Networks

Java
Python
  • Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
