Responsibilities For Security Detection Engineer, AWS Security

  • Research, identify, and prioritize security problems that can be detected using automation
  • Develop detection prototypes to enhance security capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to prevent security issues at scale
  • Perform exploratory data analysis on security telemetry
  • Build and manage services that detect and automate mitigation of cybersecurity threats
  • Work with data scientists and software development engineers across teams

Requirements For Security Detection Engineer, AWS Security

Python
  • 3+ years of experience in security investigations, detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response
  • Understanding of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors
  • Knowledge of host and network telemetry data
  • Understanding of network and web related protocols
  • Ability to develop code with at least one modern language, such as Python
  • Legal right to work in Ireland
