Responsibilities For Security Detection Engineer, AWS Security
- Research, identify, and prioritize security problems that can be detected using automation
- Develop detection prototypes to enhance security capabilities
- Identify opportunities to prevent security issues at scale
- Perform exploratory data analysis on security telemetry
- Build and manage services that detect and automate mitigation of cybersecurity threats
- Work with data scientists and software development engineers across teams
Requirements For Security Detection Engineer, AWS Security
- 3+ years of experience in security investigations, detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response
- Understanding of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors
- Knowledge of host and network telemetry data
- Understanding of network and web related protocols
- Ability to develop code with at least one modern language, such as Python
- Legal right to work in Ireland
