Security Engineer, AWS Managed Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Engineer to join their AWS Managed Services (AMS) team in Bangalore. This role is crucial in protecting AWS customers' cloud environments through advanced threat detection and response capabilities.

The position combines hands-on security engineering with customer-facing responsibilities. As a Security Engineer, you'll be part of a team that provides 24/7 threat monitoring, investigation, and response across customer AWS environments. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies and services to detect and mitigate cyber threats at scale.

Key responsibilities include monitoring networks and systems for potential threats, performing security alert triage, documenting suspicious activity, and implementing security automation. You'll also contribute to developing security posture improvements and tracking the effectiveness of AWS detective controls like Amazon GuardDuty and Amazon Macie.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of technical experience, strong understanding of security concepts, knowledge of networking protocols, and programming skills in Python. Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems and log analysis is essential. Familiarity with AWS services and security concepts is a plus.
