Security Engineer, AWS Security Cloud Response

The AWS Cloud Security Response team is seeking a Security Engineer to help manage the security and availability of AWS Cloud services. This role is crucial in protecting AWS infrastructure and customers through the 'Security of the Cloud' side of the Shared Responsibility Model.

The position combines tactical security operations with strategic thinking to drive automation and scalability. As a Security Engineer, you'll be part of a global "follow-the-sun" rotation, handling security incidents across AWS's 200+ products. Your responsibilities include triaging new security issues, determining their impact, and coordinating with various stakeholders including service teams, AWS Security Leadership, and Legal to drive resolution.

The role requires strong technical proficiency in network and operating system security, cryptography, software security, and incident response. You'll need excellent communication skills to effectively relay complex security concepts to different audiences, from engineers to executive leadership.
