Description For Security Engineer I, Security Incident Response Team (SIRT)

Amazon is seeking talented Security Engineers to join their Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), a critical component of their Information Security organization. This role combines hands-on technical security work with incident response and threat analysis to protect Amazon's vast e-commerce infrastructure. As a Security Engineer I, you'll be at the forefront of defending against cyber threats, working with sophisticated detection systems and conducting in-depth analysis of security events.

Requirements For Security Engineer I, Security Incident Response Team (SIRT)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 1+ years of industry experience working as part of a CSIRT or PSIRT
  • Experience with security monitoring, log analysis and forensic tools
  • Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience triaging and developing security alerts and response automation
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
