As a Security Engineer on the Kuiper Security team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the security of this advanced satellite broadband telecom environment from end to end. This role combines the excitement of a startup with Amazon's robust infrastructure, where you'll help bootstrap security mechanisms and build a strong security culture.
You'll work on critical security systems protecting both the satellite constellation and customer data, performing threat modeling, code reviews, and infrastructure assessments. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Creating and maintaining threat models for Kuiper Enterprise and Manufacturing components
- Manual and Automated Secure Code Review in Java or other common languages
- Network and infrastructure assessments
- Development of security automation tools
- Security training and outreach for internal development teams
- Security architecture and design guidance
- Independently solve security problems requiring novel approaches
- Influence team's and partners' process, priorities, and choices
Requirements For Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years delivering security software in a production environment
- 3+ years experience delivering distributed software systems in Python, Java, Rust, GoLang or C/C++
- 3+ years experience in delivering for cloud-native environments
- 3+ years experience in delivering software for Linux
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
