Description For Security Support Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations

Join Amazon's Vulnerability Management & Remediation Operations (VMRO) team as a Security Support Engineer in London, UK. This role is part of Amazon Security's global team responsible for assessing, detecting, and driving the remediation of vulnerabilities across Amazon's vast ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of cybersecurity and engineering, helping to protect one of the world's largest technology infrastructures.

As a Security Support Engineer, you'll collaborate with Campaign Owners to launch and improve vulnerability detection campaigns, work directly with teams to remediate critical security vulnerabilities, and contribute to the development of automation solutions. You'll need to understand complex technical vulnerabilities affecting Amazon's infrastructure, services, and applications, while also reviewing common vulnerability disclosures and evaluating their potential impacts.

The role requires a strong foundation in security concepts, cloud technologies, and identity/access management. You'll be working with technologies like CloudTrail, AWS Config, VPC, Security Groups, WAF, and various authentication/authorization solutions.
