Amazon Security is seeking an experienced Security Support Engineer to join their Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations (VMRO) team in London. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and engineering, focusing on protecting Amazon's vast technology ecosystem. The VMRO team is responsible for assessing, detecting, and driving the remediation of vulnerabilities across Amazon's global infrastructure.

Responsibilities For Security Support Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations

  • Support vulnerability detection campaigns and work with Campaign Owners
  • Assess and negotiate with customers to drive down security risk
  • Collaborate with builder teams to implement security fixes
  • Review and analyze common vulnerability disclosures
  • Help triage vulnerabilities and contribute to impact assessments
  • Contribute to automation of repetitive tasks
  • Participate in on-call rotation for vulnerability monitoring

Requirements For Security Support Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related technical degree or 3+ years equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and security mindset
  • Experience with secure-cloud configuration and cloud-security technologies
  • Experience with identity and access concepts
  • Strong ability to understand risk and prioritization
  • Ability to communicate effectively in technical and business settings
  • Strong understanding of computer and network weaknesses
