Senior ADC Engineer, Region Services Operations (RSO)

The AWS Cross Domain Operations team is seeking a cleared Senior Cloud Engineer to support essential cross domain services for U.S. Intelligence and Defense customers. Our team maintains and operates critical AWS infrastructure enabling secure cloud capabilities across classified environments.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you'll be instrumental in managing operational excellence for always-on cross domain systems. You'll implement and maintain robust processes driving availability metrics up and latency metrics down. Your expertise will directly impact national security by ensuring reliable operation of systems that government agencies depend on daily.

The role involves leading operational excellence initiatives, diagnosing complex system issues, driving process improvements, and mentoring team members. You'll work with significant autonomy while maintaining high standards for security and operational excellence. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders including development teams, operational teams, and customers.

Our Cross Domain Operations team is a close-knit group of about 10 talented Cloud Engineers dedicated to maintaining and optimizing AWS cross domain services. We're part of a broader organization combining software development and managed operations expertise. The team culture emphasizes technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,500 to $210,000 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
