Description For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Operations (RSO) - VECTOR Team

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Senior Windows Client Engineer for their Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team within Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI). This role focuses on supporting AWS customers requiring specialized security solutions for cloud services. The position demands expertise in Windows desktop services, including virtual desktops and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will maintain and enhance existing services, manage Windows build/deployment capabilities, and handle application packaging/deployment. Working closely with the Security Compliance team, you'll ensure security compliance across desktop environments. This hands-on role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to approach problems innovatively.

Key responsibilities include driving service design and implementation, improving existing services through automation, and providing mentorship to junior team members. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and offers a competitive salary range of $139,500 to $226,800 based on location.

This role is part of Amazon's expanding presence in Northern Virginia, where the company is investing $2.5 billion in its new headquarters (HQ2). Requirements For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Operations (RSO) - VECTOR Team

  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • Eight years supporting Windows operating systems
  • 3+ years experience in automation/scripting with PowerShell
  • Defined Knowledge of networking basic skills and troubleshooting
  • Experience in software packaging, deployment, security patching, and OS Deployment
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
