The Supply Chain and Intellectual Property Security (SCIPS) team at Amazon is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the development of world-class data solutions. This role combines technical expertise with strategic impact, focusing on building and maintaining data systems that drive decision-making across the organization. As part of a dynamic team consisting of six SDEs and one Product Manager - Tech, you'll own all data engineering initiatives.
The position requires expertise in AWS cloud services, data pipeline development, and ETL processes, with a strong foundation in data warehousing and modeling. You'll be responsible for implementing enterprise-scale solutions while ensuring data governance and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
The SCIPS team handles security aspects related to Amazon prototype devices and digital content creation, including developing prototype device security programs and securing supply chains and intellectual property. This presents unique challenges in building software tools that enable and accelerate security operations.
Key technical requirements include strong SQL skills, programming proficiency in languages like Python or Java, and extensive experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, RDS, S3, and QuickSight. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of data engineering experience and the ability to mentor junior team members while contributing to Amazon's data-driven culture.
The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $139,100 to $240,500 depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
