Description For Senior Security Engineer, RSCI Vector Security

Do you have a passion for innovation and building technologies that make large-scale clouds more reliable, efficient, and scalable? The RSCI Vector Security Team seeks a Senior Security Engineer to validate services, applications, and infrastructure meet the highest security standards. You'll ensure operational security for US ADC Remote Management and Administration networks, analyze infrastructure security, address issues, build automation, and respond to threats. Working with AWS's most advanced clouds supporting critical Intelligence and Defense workloads, you'll collaborate with service teams, mentor junior engineers, and be a security thought leader. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and involves working at Amazon's new Northern Virginia headquarters, part of a $2.5B investment creating 25,000+ jobs. You'll join AWS Utility Computing, supporting critical services like S3 and EC2, while working in an inclusive culture that values work-life harmony and diverse experiences. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, RSCI Vector Security

  • Conduct pre-launch security reviews
  • Hardening of Windows services aligned with NIST Compliance requirements
  • Security training and outreach to internal development teams
  • Security guidance documentation

  • Security metrics delivery and improvements
  • Work with teams to address detected security problems
  • Identify and prioritize security problems that can be detected using automation

Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, RSCI Vector Security

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive security architecture experience in Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing secure Active Directory domain architecture
  • 7+ years experience working with stakeholders across many job functions
  • CompTia Security + CE Certification, CASP or CISSP certification
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
