Amazon Security is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC) team. This role combines technical security expertise with risk management to protect Amazon's vast ecosystem. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC)
- Validate technical approach to security checks to ensure alignment with compliance program
- Work with security teams to understand system architecture, technical needs, and compliance requirements
- Lead the identification and assessment of risk areas
- Review security controls including Logical Access, Change Management, Network Security, Cryptography, Data Privacy, Vulnerability Management
- Provide technical guidance on security requirements
- Create and manage remediation campaigns for identified compliance gaps
- Design automation requirements for continuous compliance monitoring
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC)
- 5+ years of experience in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
- 4+ years of experience in network, system, or software architecture
- 2+ years of scripting or programming experience in Ruby, Python, Shell/BASH scripting, Java, C/C++, C*, Perl, or other languages
- 2+ years of experience in cryptography, web and network protocols, data structures and algorithms, software development, threat modeling, pen tests, or vulnerability assessments
