Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations, Defensive Security
- Assess technical details and potential impact of vulnerabilities across Amazon's infrastructure
- Lead detection and analysis of vulnerabilities through scanning and prioritization
- Design and implement automation tools and workflows
- Partner with teams to identify and increase coverage and detection capabilities
- Mentor junior security engineers
- Participate in on-call responsibilities
- Drive vulnerability remediation across Amazon ecosystem
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations, Defensive Security
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related technical degree; or 4+ years equivalent technology experience
- 7 years engineering experience in system, network, and/or application security
- 5 years experience improving accuracy of vulnerability detection mechanisms
- 5 years experience with vulnerabilities, exploits and vulnerability management systems
- 5 years experience developing vulnerability assessment tools in Python, Java, etc
- 3 years experience building applications on cloud-based services
