Description For Senior Security Intelligence Engineer, Incident Response Threat Intelligence, ACTI, ACTI

Amazon's Threat Intelligence for Global Enterprise Response (TIGER) team, part of Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI), is seeking a Senior Security Intelligence Engineer to develop actionable intelligence on advanced cyber threats. This role combines technical expertise with threat analysis to protect Amazon's assets and employees.

As a Security Intelligence Engineer, you'll analyze sophisticated cyber threats, develop new analytic techniques, and work across teams to enhance security capabilities. You'll leverage your expertise in networking, host-based indicators, and digital forensics to investigate incidents and threats. The role requires deep understanding of current cyber threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

  • Perform deep dive analysis of malicious artifacts
  • Analyze large and unstructured data sets to discover new threats
  • Create security techniques and automation for internal use
  • Contribute to Amazon's understanding of the current threat landscape
  • Draft and publish finished written threat intelligence products
  • Periodic on-call responsibilities

Requirements For Senior Security Intelligence Engineer, Incident Response Threat Intelligence, ACTI, ACTI

Python
Linux
  • BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or similar degree, or 5+ years equivalent technology experience
  • 5 years experience with tracking high-sophistication cyber threat groups
  • 5 years experience across system security, network security, application security, and/or digital forensics
  • 2 years experience building scripting and automation using Python or similar programming languages
  • 2 years experience with SQL or other relational database query languages
  • Must be a US Citizen
