AWS is seeking a Senior SoC Architectural Modeling Engineer to join their Machine Learning Accelerators team. This role focuses on building C++ & SystemC functional models of custom-designed accelerator SoCs for AWS internal teams. The position is critical in developing and maintaining SoC functional models that are essential for AWS's Machine Learning servers.
The role involves working with cutting-edge technology in AWS's custom silicon development, specifically for machine learning applications. You'll be responsible for developing end-to-end SoC functional models, collaborating with various teams including architecture, RTL design, and software teams, and driving innovations in modeling infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who are experts in functional modeling for SoCs, ASICs, TPUs, GPUs, or CPUs. The position offers the chance to work on some of the largest custom silicon implementations in the world, directly impacting AWS's machine learning capabilities. While machine learning background isn't required, you'll have the opportunity to learn and grow in this space.
The role can be based in either Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX, with the team split between both locations. You'll be part of Annapurna Labs, an organization within AWS that designs and deploys custom silicon solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in cloud computing.
The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year based on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits. This is a chance to join a team that values innovation, mentorship, and work-life harmony while working on transformative technology that powers AWS's machine learning infrastructure.
