Senior Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Network Services

Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative by Amazon to launch a constellation of low earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband internet connectivity to un-served and under-served communities worldwide.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Kuiper Network Services team, you'll be instrumental in building the network infrastructure for satellite to ground-based connectivity. This role offers an exciting leadership opportunity within Project Kuiper where you'll drive the team's engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate solution pipelines
• Lead initiatives across teams to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Establish best practices for software development processes
• Lead teams, develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, and create test automation
• Design and implement systems for provisioning, address management, packet inspection, and dynamic traffic management
• Mentor junior team members and new hires

The Network Services team focuses on connecting users worldwide through innovative network solutions. You'll be working on services that enable customer terminals and applications to interface with the broader internet, from address assignment and name resolution to secure and programmable network functions.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This position requires US citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status due to export control regulations.
