AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. As a Server Engineer in the Data Center Operations team, you will be part of the team that keeps the cloud running by maintaining the world's largest computing infrastructure.
You will work in a dynamic environment managing the hardware lifecycle of our IT infrastructure, including server racks, networking equipment, and various hardware components. Your responsibilities will range from routine maintenance to emergency response, ensuring the continuous operation of our data center facilities.
The role requires both technical expertise and operational excellence. You'll be working with Linux/Windows systems, performing hardware troubleshooting, and contributing to process improvements. You'll be part of a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, collaborating across AWS to maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
Working in shifts (4 days on/3 days off, 10-hour shifts), you'll be responsible for maintaining and monitoring critical infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
