Snr. Systems Development Engineer, ESC Managed Operations

AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a major advancement in utility computing. This role is part of the AWS Managed Operations team, focusing on building and leading operations for high-availability AWS services specifically for EU customers. The position combines systems development engineering with a strong emphasis on automation and operations.

As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of transforming AWS's global infrastructure operations. Your work will involve designing and implementing solutions that reduce operational complexity while ensuring scalability and maintainability. You'll create automation systems that eliminate operational toil and standardize workflows across AWS regions.

The role requires collaboration with various teams, including service teams, operational staff, and leadership, to identify and solve operational challenges. You'll contribute to the next generation of cloud infrastructure management, working with core AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.
