The Comet team, which powers Amazon Ads' contextual signal service, is responsible for providing contextual signals from both third-party offsite and first-party properties beyond the Amazon Store. The team leverages cutting-edge generative AI and engineering solutions to extract and generate contextual signals, processing billions of bid requests daily through real-time, batch, and stream processing systems.
As an SDE2, you'll be working on building large-scale distributed systems including web crawlers, contextual processing systems, and data storage solutions. The role involves designing and implementing highly available, efficient, and low-latency infrastructure that will be used across multiple contextual advertising use cases. The team operates with a loosely coupled architecture, utilizing both synchronous and asynchronous messaging patterns.
