Software Dev Engineer II, Access Point Technology

Amazon's Lockers team is revolutionizing package delivery by solving the common challenge of coordinating delivery times with carriers. With over 50,000 lockers globally across NA, EU, and the FE, the team facilitates millions of package deliveries monthly. Despite their established presence, they maintain a startup mentality, focusing on rapid decision-making and execution. The team is currently developing next-generation lockers designed to accept packages from any carrier or retailer, with robust return capabilities. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment, developing deep technical understanding and owning architecture and end-to-end delivery of software components. The position involves collaboration with multiple teams, design reviews, prototyping, and development of both customer-facing and backend services. The ideal candidate will contribute to a team that's aiming for 10x growth in the next three years, working on critical infrastructure that's comparable to messaging solutions like AWS SQS/JMS in terms of technological importance.
