Software Dev. Engineer II, INTech LatAm and APAC

Amazon's INTech LatAm and APAC team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their Vancouver office. This role focuses on developing and scaling systems that enhance the shopping experience for customers across Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. The position involves working with highly available Tier-1 services that process hundreds of billions of requests daily, serving over 300 million customers.

The team consists of 300+ people globally, with a close-knit group of 30 experienced Amazonians in Vancouver. They maintain a low on-call load to focus on solving complex, strategic problems. The role offers the opportunity to work on distributed systems that are transactional, scalable, high-throughput, and fault-tolerant.

As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for leveraging US inventory to unlock greater selection, lower prices, and faster delivery for customers in Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore. The role requires both frontend UI development skills and backend service expertise. You'll need to navigate complex tax compliance requirements while ensuring optimal customer experiences.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $114,800 to $191,800 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
