Software Dev. Engineer II, INTech LatAm and APAC

Amazon's INTech Latam & APAC team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their dynamic team in Vancouver, Canada. This role is part of a crucial initiative to leverage US inventory and enhance the shopping experience for customers in Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on massively scalable distributed systems that process hundreds of billions of requests daily. As part of a 300+ person team (with 30 people in the Vancouver office), you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining highly available Tier-1 services that directly impact over 300 million customers.

The role combines technical challenges with business impact, requiring expertise in both frontend UI development and backend services. You'll be working on complex problems involving international e-commerce, tax compliance, and cross-border trade. The team maintains a low on-call load, allowing engineers to focus on solving bigger-picture challenges.

Key responsibilities include leading architectural decisions, optimizing existing systems, and building new features that enhance the shopping experience across multiple international markets. You'll work in a collaborative environment with experienced Amazonians who tackle complex and ambiguous problems daily.
