Description For Software Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is an ambitious Amazon initiative focused on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer in the Hardware Validation Team, you'll be at the forefront of space-based systems innovation.

The role combines software development expertise with hardware testing, requiring you to architect and build automation systems that ensure satellite components meet space-worthy standards. You'll work within the Avionics Verification and Test team, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers to create scalable test automation solutions.

Key responsibilities include developing software for hardware test automation, building CI/CD infrastructure, and enabling automated data collection and analysis. You'll work closely with both development and manufacturing teams, making critical decisions on tool implementation while leveraging AWS resources to accelerate development.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This is a unique opportunity to impact millions of lives while working on cutting-edge space technology.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of software development experience, strong Python skills, and experience with system architecture.
