Software Dev Engineer, Promotions Intelligence (Pint)

Join Amazon's Promotions Intelligence team (Pint) in Edinburgh as they revolutionize HR technology through an exciting greenfield project. As part of Global Talent Management & Compensation (GTMC), you'll help build intelligent solutions with consumer-grade user experience, using science to manage the performance of Amazon's 1M+ employees. The role involves working on a strategic initiative to transform their widely-used Promote tool using AWS Step Functions for next-gen orchestration.

The engineering scope encompasses UX design, microservices, frontend, big data, and ML - all aimed at enabling Amazon to maintain its "Day One" culture while growing its talent. You'll be working in a collaborative environment where engineers regularly deep dive into customer issues, implement new features, investigate metrics, and consult with top Amazon engineers.

The Promotions Intelligence team in Edinburgh is led by a former Senior Software Engineer and is deeply committed to optimizing the engineer experience. They utilize the latest technologies, including GenAI, while maintaining a strong focus on work-life balance. The team builds scalable, high-availability web architectures using AWS, following agile SDLC practices to solve ambiguous customer problems.
