Amazon's Last Mile Planning team, within the LMT organization, is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 to join their Pre Station Planning Technology team. This role is crucial in building software that creates efficient route, station, and capacity plans for Amazon's worldwide logistics network. The team develops innovative solutions including ML and operations research-based routing algorithms, in-house maps and navigation platforms, IoT innovations, and consumer-grade mobile apps.

The position focuses on developing software for demand forecasting, capacity planning, jurisdiction management, and fleet planning - all critical components that help determine the precise resources needed to deliver billions of packages globally. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence customer experience and operational efficiency.

As an SDE2, you'll be responsible for driving technical architecture, implementing sophisticated planning systems, and participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
