Software Development Engineer, Alexa Customer Journeys

Are you passionate about inventing experiences that help customers discover ways to incorporate Generative AI in their daily lives? The Alexa Customer Journeys team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to make Alexa an expert on itself, providing useful information and experiences to customers.

You'll be working with Large Language Models (LLM) and other generative technologies, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of Software Development Engineers, Data Scientists, and Quality Assurance Engineers. Working closely with Product Managers, you'll design customer-facing experiences with Alexa and build solutions to enhance Alexa's self-expertise.

As a key engineering team member, you'll influence product and technology strategy by:

• Helping define product features
• Refining system architecture
• Establishing best practices for quality product development
• Setting up architectural foundations for future product phases

The role requires strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year based on geographic market, along with comprehensive benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and full medical coverage.
