Description For Software Development Engineer, Alexa Endpoint Experiences

Join the innovative team behind the Echo Show, Amazon's touch-screen enabled Alexa device that has revolutionized how users interact with their smart home devices. As a Software Development Engineer in the Alexa Endpoint Experiences team, you'll be at the forefront of developing features that combine speech recognition with visual interfaces across the Echo family of devices, including Fire TV and Kindle.

The role involves creating and maintaining sophisticated systems that ensure Alexa provides seamless, low-latency responses at Amazon's massive scale. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, developing Android-based experiences, device frameworks, and APIs that power millions of customer interactions daily.

Working in an Agile/Scrum environment, you'll collaborate closely with UX designers and Product owners to shape the future of voice-enabled devices. The team's focus extends beyond just the Echo Show to include other high-profile consumer electronics products, making this an opportunity to impact multiple product lines simultaneously.

This position offers the chance to work on groundbreaking technology that combines voice, touch, and visual interfaces in novel ways. You'll be responsible for ensuring that Alexa maintains its reputation for reliability and responsiveness, while also pushing the boundaries of what's possible in consumer electronics.

The ideal candidate will bring strong software development experience and a passion for creating intuitive user experiences.
