Software Development Engineer, Amazon Tax Services

Join Amazon Tax Platform Services team to work on one of the world's largest transactional distributed systems. This role focuses on building and maintaining the core tax calculation platform that handles sales tax and VAT for all Amazon sales globally. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate tax calculations for millions of transactions per minute and generating tax-compliant invoices. The platform manages hundreds of millions of records and must stay current with complex, ever-changing global tax regulations. Working in a Java, Linux, and Oracle-based environment, you'll contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design to operations.
