Software Development Engineer, AWS EMR

AWS EMR Control Plane team is seeking engineers to work on scaling a heavily used AWS Service. Amazon EMR is the industry-leading cloud-native big data platform for processing vast amounts of data efficiently at scale.

The role involves:

• Working on large-scale distributed systems
• Developing innovative features for next-generation cluster management
• Improving real-time big data processing capabilities
• Collaborating with senior and principal engineers who are AWS domain experts
• Building solutions using technologies like:
  • Core Java Microservices
  • AWS stack (DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, EC2)
  • Kerberos, TLS, LDAP
  • Apache tools (Spark, Hive, HBase, Flink, Presto)
