Software Development Engineer, AWS Fintech

AWS Fintech team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build high-performance, globally scalable AWS Financial systems that drive Amazon's growth. The role involves creating next-generation distributed, scalable financial systems that facilitate global transactions worth billions annually.

The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on big data and complex business problem-solving. Key responsibilities include technical design and delivery of software components, working with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, translating proposals into technical designs, coordinating development efforts, conducting code reviews, and ensuring solutions are logical, testable, maintainable, and efficient.

As an SDE at Amazon, you'll work on real-world problems at a global scale, owning systems end-to-end and influencing technology direction that impacts hundreds of millions of customers. You'll design flexible, scalable solutions using data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. The role offers the opportunity to work with a small development team, learning to design, implement, and test highly scalable solutions using the AWS cloud platform.

The AWS Fintech team specifically focuses on automating the transformation of financial data into actionable insights for AWS Finance teams. Their applications help determine AWS service pricing, revenue tracking, and profitability analysis. The team develops full-stack applications, integrates with multiple financial systems and data warehouses, and utilizes machine learning for data insights.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year based on geographic location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical and financial benefits.
