Description For Software Development Engineer, AWS Global Accelerator

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer for their AWS Global Accelerator team, a critical component of AWS's global infrastructure. This role focuses on developing and maintaining a Software Defined Networking service that improves network performance for various applications including video games, streaming platforms, and social media applications.

The position involves working on challenging distributed systems and networking problems, specifically within the data plane team. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining packet processor applications that handle routing and load-balancing for AWS edge locations. The role requires strong technical expertise in computer networking and systems-level programming.

As part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to engage directly with AWS customers and service owners, propose and design new solutions, and develop features that enhance the service. The role offers exposure to running critical internet workloads at AWS scale and learning about global business operations.
