Description For Software Development Engineer, AWS Incident Prevention

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team is responsible for keeping the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

The Incident Prevention team is seeking experienced software engineers to build large-scale systems spanning thousands of servers across multiple global data centers. This role involves:

  • Building rock-solid components and mentoring other engineers
  • Designing and developing critical software components for cloud-based database services
  • Solving challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack
  • Implementing innovative solutions for service performance, durability, cost, and security
  • Building high-quality, highly available products

Compensation ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year based on geographic market, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
