AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) core team. This role focuses on advancing Kubernetes capabilities to deliver seamless container orchestration at AWS scale. The position offers an opportunity to work on foundational services like S3 and EC2, while contributing to product innovations that differentiate AWS in the industry.

The role involves architecting and developing core Kubernetes controllers, designing authentication/authorization workflows, and creating tools for deployment and monitoring.   • Architect, develop, and maintain core Kubernetes controllers running in Kubernetes control plane
  • Design, develop and maintain authn/authz workflows for Kubernetes API requests
  • Develop tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple solutions
  • Collaborate with the Kubernetes open-source community
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
