Description For Software Development Engineer, Backbone SDN Controllers

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

The AWS Networking team develops and operates the network platform for all of Amazon including e-commerce products and cloud computing solutions. This role focuses on delivering the future of software control systems at the core of our global network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain innovative software solutions for AWS Backbone network traffic control
  • Build high-quality distributed system software
  • Work in an agile environment on critical infrastructure
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with world leaders in distributed systems
  • Build software using Amazon Web Services
