Software Development Engineer, Cross Domain Security, Services, & Engineering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented software development engineer to join their Cross Domain Security Services team. This role focuses on building customer-facing cloud services that enable secure data movement between AWS regions and accounts with different security requirements. The position combines cloud computing expertise with security engineering, requiring the development of solutions for processing and analyzing data across AWS environments.

The role involves working with cutting-edge AWS technologies to build cloud-native data solutions, collaborating with various teams including data engineers, site reliability engineers, and technical program managers. You'll be responsible for developing dynamic web applications, designing APIs, creating scalable backend systems, and delivering front-end UIs using modern technologies like Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.

As part of the Cross Domain Services team, you'll work on critical systems like AWS Diode and Bridges for secure connectivity, Blackmirror for managed export of operational data, and Pattern for dataflow inspection and security analytics. The position requires strong technical skills in full-stack development, database management, and security implementation.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of professional software development experience and 2 years of system design experience. A bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification is required. The position demands US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
