Description For Software Development Engineer, Identity Services

Amazon's Identity Services team is at the forefront of building and maintaining customer trust through secure authentication systems. This role is part of the Mobile Identity team, which owns authentication, authorization, and access control experiences across all Amazon apps and devices. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing the next generation of Amazon's Identity infrastructure on mobile platforms.

The position offers unique exposure to almost every major launch at Amazon, as the Identity Services systems are critical for identifying and authenticating every Amazon customer worldwide. The role combines the challenge of maintaining high-performance, scalable systems with the opportunity to innovate on security features that impact Amazon's global business operations.

You'll work in an environment where system reliability is paramount - if these systems aren't running, the company stops. The team balances the demands of maintaining fast, scalable, and performant systems while rapidly delivering new features for Amazon customers and developer partners. This position offers the best of both worlds: owning security features while supporting nearly every business at Amazon.

The role involves collaborating with senior technical leaders, contributing to operational excellence, and solving complex problems. You'll be part of an agile development process, working on everything from mobile applications to core infrastructure. The position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work on systems that impact millions of customers daily.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with business impact, working on critical systems that require both security innovation and scalable performance.
