Description For Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Now (Project Tez)

Amazon's India Grocery and Everyday Essentials team is developing a groundbreaking quick commerce initiative called Project Tez. This greenfield project involves building a completely new quick commerce experience using ReactJS for frontend and multiple backend services. The role offers an opportunity to work on a first-of-its-kind initiative at Amazon that will scale beyond India and grocery.

The team follows a flexible and collaborative work culture, emphasizing high ownership, bias for action, and the highest standards. You'll be working alongside senior SDEs, Frontend Engineers, and Principal Engineers to build an industry-leading shopping experience from scratch. The project spans the entire quick commerce shopping journey, from discovery and traffic to storefront, ordering, and delivery experience.

As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for developing scalable solutions, writing maintainable code, and making appropriate technical trade-offs. The role requires strong technical skills, pragmatic problem-solving abilities, and a focus on system performance and efficiency. You'll have the opportunity to contribute not just technically, but also to the business and product roadmap.
