Software Development Engineer II, Items and Relationships Platform, Identity Assignment Candidates and Comparison

The Identity Candidates and Comparison (IAC&C) team at Amazon is building critical systems that power product identity and attributes across all Amazon marketplaces. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems that process billions of transactions daily. You'll be working on two main engineering areas: the Identity Comparison Engine, which performs rapid item identity comparisons, and the Identity Subsetting system, which handles product candidate matching and external identifier mappings.

As an SDE II, you'll be tackling complex technical challenges while working alongside industry veterans who have built some of Amazon's foundational systems. The role combines hardcore computer science problems in distributed systems and high-performance algorithms with real business impact. You'll be directly influencing both seller and buyer experiences on the world's largest product catalog.

The team supports critical programs like Identity Mutation Prevention, Seller friction reduction, and Identity Consistency between vendors and sellers.
