Software Development Engineer II, Sort Tech

Sort Tech at Amazon builds technologies and services that enable manual and automated movement of packages across Amazon's worldwide transportation facilities. The Core Load team is responsible for all loading processes within dock operations, working as the interface between in-building operations and dock loading operations. They decompose network-level distribution plans into site-level Load/UnLoad plans and focus on orchestrating resources to improve load fullness and dock efficiency.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you'll be part of a team that processes millions of packages daily to ensure Amazon meets customer delivery promises. You'll work on key initiatives supporting the rapid evolution and growth of the transportation network, solving some of the most challenging problems in logistics. The role involves building highly available, secure distributed systems in a microservice architecture and collaborating with top engineers to work on complex challenges in large-scale computing.
