Description For Software Development Engineer II, Sort Tech

Sort Tech at Amazon builds technologies and services that enable manual and automated movement of packages across Amazon's worldwide transportation facilities. As a Software Development Engineer II on the Core Load team, you'll be responsible for building systems that orchestrate loading processes within dock operations. You'll work on key initiatives supporting the rapid evolution and growth of the transportation network, solving some of the most challenging problems in logistics.

The role involves building highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture, working with some of the best engineers in the industry. You'll be responsible for writing high-quality code, owning and operating systems based on real-time customer data, and contributing to planning, implementation, testing, and process improvement.

The team's mission is to build the most efficient and optimal transportation system globally, focusing on enabling associates and robots to safely and efficiently move packages throughout Amazon's facilities.
