Description For Software Development Engineer II, Workplace Productivity

Join Amazon's FinTech Workplace team as an SDE II, where you'll be instrumental in building a productivity platform that transforms complex business processes into streamlined automated solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including AWS cloud, machine learning algorithms, and distributed systems.

The FinTech Workplace platform is designed to eliminate tedious 'swivel chair' work by automating repetitive business processes and creating seamless, single-click experiences. In 2023, the platform achieved significant success in saving manual hours across various Amazon teams including FGBS, Advertisement, Amazon Pay, AWS Sales, and PXT.

As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for driving solutions across the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment. The role requires strong technical acumen and a proven track record in engineering large-scale software systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to technical architecture, and build scalable, service-oriented platforms that serve Amazon's extensive customer base.

The ideal candidate should excel under pressure, demonstrate adaptability, and take strong ownership of system success. You'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, implement best practices, and drive innovation in process automation. This position offers exposure to complex scalability challenges and the chance to work with advanced technologies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

If you're passionate about building innovative solutions, have a strong foundation in distributed systems, and want to make a significant impact on Amazon's operational efficiency, this role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career while working on meaningful technical challenges.
