Join Amazon's cutting-edge sustainability initiatives as a Software Development Engineer II in the Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization. The role focuses on building technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's global environmental impact across carbon, water, waste, and other metrics.

The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team develops systems to calculate past and current impacts, future abatement plans, and ensures credibility through standards and validations. You'll work alongside customers, stakeholders, product managers, and Data Scientists to define and execute product goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing critical components of scalable distributed systems
  • Building full-stack solutions spanning UX, API, DB, and ML modeling
  • Collaborating with internal customers and technical leadership
