Software Development Engineer, Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging

The Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging Experiences software team at Amazon is seeking technically skilled engineers to join their diverse, full-stack team. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying intelligent packaging deterministic workflows, LLM/ML powered platforms, and large-scale solutions for worldwide customers.

As an SDE, you will:

• Collaborate with product leaders, principals, and ML scientists to influence packaging roadmap
• Support Climate Pledge and Sustainability goals
• Drive system architecture and best practices
• Help coach and develop junior engineers
• Build Packaging Technology Workflows and Optimization with Machine Learning
• Own systems end-to-end
• Work on core infrastructure and production services
• Support packaging test labs and Fulfillment Centers

The role requires strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. You'll be working on mission-critical projects alongside senior and principal engineers while having the opportunity to lead team members.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year based on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
