Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Linear

Prime Video is disrupting traditional media with an expanding ecosystem of content including movies, TV shows, Emmy Award winning originals, add-on subscriptions, and live events. The Linear Customer Experiences (LEX) team is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join their Living Room team.

You'll be working on building immersive experiences for Web and 3P Living Room devices (Smart TVs, gaming consoles, streaming devices), focusing on Linear TV experiences which has emerged as one of their fastest-growing segments. The role involves handling complex TV platforms while delivering consistent, high-quality viewing experiences optimized for lean-back environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing Linear TV experiences for Web and 3PLR platforms
• Building performant UI components for TV navigation
• Creating sophisticated program guides and channel browsing experiences
• Implementing efficient rendering techniques for resource-constrained devices
• Optimizing application startup time and performance
• Integrating with backend services for personalized content recommendations
• Ensuring consistent behavior across platforms
• Creating reusable components for Prime Video living room apps

The Linear Experience (LEX) team works closely with Linear Discovery Services and UX teams to create compelling, personalized viewing experiences serving millions of customers daily. Their mission is to create the best Live TV viewing experience in the industry.
