AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The AWS OpenSearch team is looking for Software Development Engineers for its Bangalore team to help build cutting-edge search technologies for customers of all sizes. As an AWS OpenSearch engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and support a world-class OpenSearch platform that manages thousands of search domains.
• Contribute to both open source code and managed service platform.
• Work with senior engineers to deliver many components of the entire stack.
• Focus on scalability, performance, service robustness, and cost trade-offs.
• Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling techniques to predict, measure, and evaluate designs and platform success.
• Continuously drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize distributed systems and tools.
• Work alongside a dedicated operations team to develop and support the smooth 24x7 operation of our worldwide service.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
