Software Development Engineer, Security Pipeline Engineering, Defensive Security

Join Amazon Stores Security's Security Pipeline Engineering team as a Software Development Engineer to build next-generation mission-critical data processing pipelines and applications. This role focuses on developing hyper-scale data applications that handle petabyte-scale data in real-time, enabling Amazon's defensive security and security management teams globally.

As a team member, you'll work directly with stakeholders to understand customer needs and build best-in-class software solutions. The technical foundation you'll help build keeps all of Amazon's operations (including Fulfillment Centers, Physical Stores, Whole Foods, Fresh) secure. The role requires expertise in building always-online systems at scale and an entrepreneurial spirit to take calculated risks and experiment with new technical approaches.

Your daily responsibilities will include system/software design, AWS configuration, feature development, strategic technical planning, and collaboration with security teams worldwide. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies (S3, Lambda, SQS, Fargate/ECS, EMR, Spark) and help shape the team's processes and goals through interaction with Senior Amazon Leadership.
